Uttarakhand lies in the lap and serenity of the Himalayas. GEHU is the culmination of the dream of one man who had a vision to reform destiny. An academician and computer engineer of repute, Prof. (Dr.) Kamal Ghanshala is the new face of imparting holistic education. His foresight and acumen have soared this institution as a pioneer in technical education in Uttarakhand. Prof. Ghanshala founded Graphic Era in the year 1993 as one of his daring ventures for providing service to the society through a private education system. The university has vibrant campuses at Dehradun, Bhimtal, and Haldwani. These campuses are designed with world-class academic and research facilities, state of art laboratories, and libraries that foster innovative teaching, learning, and personal care to the student. The university also offers exchange opportunities with foreign universities.

GEHU - Bhimtal Campus is located at the Kumaon foothills of the outer Himalayas amidst lush green tree cover, along the Sattal Road. It has been designed as a self-contained community with academic and research facilities, laboratories, libraries, and administrative offices all in the same campus. The campus provides various facilities like Open Air Theatre, students' accommodation, cafeteria, playfields, library, computer centers, and fully equipped & well-designed lecture theatres.
